Dotted laser line image which projects a 2" (1.86") line length per 12" of projection distance.  The line length increases 2" (1.86") for each additional 12" of projection distance (7.9 degree fan angle).  Line lengths per perpendicular projection distances: 1.86"@1', 3.72"@2', 9.3"@5', 18.60"@10', 46.5"@25', 93"@50', 186"@100' (the visibility is reduced at distances over 50 ft. and limited to use under lower ambient lighting conditions for longer distances). The thickness of the line is determined by the laser dot diameter.  The length of the laser line may be "stretched" into a longer line by positioning the laser to project at an angle to the work surface that the line is projected onto, instead of positioning the laser to project perpendicular to the work surface .  When the laser is angled to the work surface, in the plane of the line image, very long lines can be achieved from short projection distance.  The smaller the angle of the laser to the work surface, the longer the line will become.
